Dune Lake played another fabulous gig at The Fox and Firkin in Lewisham this May Bank Holiday Sunday.
It didn't take much to coax the sun-soaked crowd from out on the patio to the relative darkness of the venue inside to lap up some of this seriously good, original, electroacoustic rock music.
Dave (guitar) and Sophie (vocals/keyboards) have been writing these sounds together as Dune Lake now for around two years. Every gig just knocks you away, whether you've seem them before or not - and they just seem to get better and better.Jonny from Kooba Radio wrote live on his blog: "Dune Lake: jazzy gorgeousness...This is really dreamy; are we actually in a pub in South East London?...there's a lot of praise for these guys here, check 'em out" Have a listen to Kooba Radio now here.
Ben (guitar/keyboards) played with Dune Lake here for the second time, enhancing the sound with some intricate acoustic guitar playing.
Steve Jones (Double Bass) gave an exciting new dimension to the band with his funky
b-lines and accomplished performance, whilst Tom Harrison (Drums) made a welcome return with his creative and tight-as-you-like robust beat-making.So, if this was the first time we've seen Dune Lake with exactly this line-up, there was one word on the tip of everybody's tongue that Sunday afternoon - more!
Don't miss Dune Lake playing at The Ladywell Tavern on 4th June.
